Something sad

Honestly, who would ever think of a library without books as being a good idea? It barely even makes sense to call such a book-less place a library! What is this world coming to?

    That article was depressing! And then those quotes from students at the end who don't read or go through the stacks. Ugh. This kinda ruins my day.

    Didn't mean to ruin your day... On the plus side, there's some lively discussion going on through a rare books listserv about just how silly of an idea this is.

    I figure there will be a lot of negative response. Too many people love books to completely negate their existence. I just feel bad for all those prep-school kids who will never know what a good book smells like.
