I, and librarians everywhere, will be adding this eco argument to our (long) list of why print books are still relevant and necessary even in our current reading landscape. Read a real book!
I imagine the same argument was made when Gutenberg invented the printing press (well, probably not the eco argument part). Can you imagine someone today arguing that a scribe is more practical or more relevant than a printing press?
I am a children's librarian living, working, and reading in Illinois. It makes me happy to help folks--of any age!--find books they'd like to read. I am passionate about early literacy initiatives, science and math programming, and engaging kids of all ages with stories whenever I can.
This blog is solely mine, and it does not reflect anyone's opinions but my own.
